While being a grandmother may make me sound old, I'm not quite ready for retirement. My Apple ][e is not in a museum - although the back of the basement is starting to look like one with all that decommissioned hardware. Being a highly (technically) educated woman myself, I didn't offend myself while writing it or find it sexist at all.
The tie between "mom" and "dns" is that they're both often taken for granted and unappreciated. Any other connection with descriptions of DNS is purely perception on the part of the reader. If you choose to take that away, that's your prerogative, but it certainly wasn't the intent.
