Brandon_ā€‹  Is "  Next: BGP Behavior In High Availability Configurations " available šŸ˜?

 

I think this is a great topic and from what I got the if there is a floating ip the two devices in HA will advertise it.

 

If there is no floating ip then the standby system shouldn't advertise anything ?

 

Also there was an article about actually bgp peering with floating ip as shown in 

https://my.f5.com/manage/s/article/K62454350 but the article is no more so I suspect better do bgp peering with the local self ip addresses and this is the most optimized way as also mentioned in

 Maybe to sum it up if I need to configure iBGP between the F5 devices themselves to advertise the Floating ip as next hop from the two devices at the same time as only one of the two F5 devices will answer on that IP on layer 2 or just one BIG-IP will do the advertisement for the floating IP ?
