What do you do with your kids that you never do for yourself?

Dance.   More specifically dance lessons.

Long (and funny ) story cut short, hit me up for the full version.

In grades k-5 - there are typically an annual daddy -daughter dances.  Net result, girls go dance with each other and dads stand in the corner talking or on their phone for 2 hours.  Then the last song comes on, and you have your dance, and everyone goes home.   * - also a good night to play dressup.

My daugher also wanted dance classes -so from 5 to...?   She has been learning specific styles of Hip hop - and ballet...   Fast forward to Valentines day, and there is a family partipation dance party, and I ASSUME - it would be in a similar style.  Students do their thing - Family does their thing  - 1 dance at the end - and everyone goes home.

WRONG - I found out the hardway, via several practice lessions to learn the routine, that we would be performing just like the student - costumes and all.   Hip-hop - was quite the workout, and all but one parent had to use both hands on the rail on the wall for ballet.  I needed 2 - so i didnt tip over.   The students were in the middle of the room with no rail
