WMI Monitor issue

Hello all,

Recently I have configured the WMI monitor & Data Gathering Agent in Windows 2008 + IIS 7. Everything worked like a charm.

I am trying to do the same with a Windows 2003 + IIS 6 and I haven't been able to make it work. I followed all the steps in the Configuration Guide but it did not work at all. The node is marked down as soon as the monitor is assigned to it.

I enabled the logging for WMI performance monitor using this article:

http://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/solutions/public/4000/600/sol4690.html

And when I checked the log the only thing I can see is:

"Target: http://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:80/scripts/F5Isapi.dll?GetCPUInfo (ID/Pwd: johndoe@mydomain.local/Mypassw0rd)

Failure processing HTTP request"

We are using LTM ver 10.2.0 on a 6400 D63 hardware.

¿Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this issue?

Thanks a lot for your assistance.

    I hope this helps

  • Hi Bhattman,

First of all thanks for your response.

Yes, I did look at it but it doesn't apply to my case. I am trying to configure the F5IsHandler.dll in an IIS6, not the f5isapi.dll.

I understand installing both of them is not necessary, isn't?

Even though, I already followed those steps and tried to install the f5isapi.dll instead the F5IsHandler.dll and it did not work either.

    Thank you.
