Nov 18, 2023Custom bash script at startup doesn't work (BIG-IP VM 17.1.1)
I need to run a custom script at the startup of my BIG-IP VM (version: 17.1.1 Build 0.0.6 Final). In order to reach my goal, I followed this articole by F5 but unfortunately it didn't work: https://...
I expect [IP::addr $ip] would return 1 if $ip was an IP address and a runtime error if it's not. So I don't see any reason to use that. Running a class command (class, matchclass, etc) with an IP address/network against an address type datagroup should use a byte comparison and be more efficient than a string comparison.

I forgot to mention that the iControl code I am executing is from with a series of JUnit tests. The same code that fails will succeed after I manually delete everything from the F5. - MarkM_63051Jan 20, 2012

I think I found my problem. The IP address I was using for the virtual server is returning a ping even though it is no longer in the F5. One of my cohorts at work must not be honoring my IP reservations although I have had these resevered for several months now.
