why active unit can not learn arp info of standby's selfip

Hi everybody,     I have 2 ltms with HA paire. I add a new vlan 608 on them,and assign self ip to them.     I could get response when i run ping from standby to active unit selfi...

I don't understand some parts of that paragraph sorry... When you say 'Any ping to old self ip is ok (bidirection) ', this implies you've made a change somewhere? Or are you talking about pinging the a floating IP address?
