Where to change Charset to UTF-8 Unicode for German Umlauts?
Hey everybody,
I just deployed Exchange iApp for OWA Access. We just discovered that some customers are not able to log on OWA if they have symbols like: "ö, Ö, ä, Ä, ü, Ü, or ß" in their Password. They can not log in.
My question now: Can I change the current charset to another one? And where do I find it?
I have read several answers here about this case, but no one explained yet how to change this..

Hi,
Can you juste explain the context please.
User login in APM? then you process a sso to owa... that's right...
Where you noticed a problem? the user were blocked on APM (logon page)...

deployed iApp Exchange 2016 -> User try to access OWA -> The password of the user is e.g. "frühling2015" -> As long he has an "ü" in his password, the OWA login does not success -> The Unicode format is wrong on this point, it should be able to process "ä, ö, ü.." - Where can I change the format?
i found this other question: https://devcentral.f5.com/questions/apm-websso-ntlm-not-supporting-unicode-characters-in-passwords
are you using NTLM SSO?
then perhaps using Kerberos SSO might be a workaround.
be sure to also open a support ticket, the more people report this issue the better chance it gets fixed.

Hi thank you for your feedback, but you use APM? in order to secure owa...

Yes of course. While configuring iApp there is also an Access Policy build afterwards. I configured the Access Profile like this: Logon Page -> AD Auth -> AD Query -> SSO Credential Mapping
