What needs to be consider before to upgrade to 12.0.0 ?

So May I ask, what the most part of consideration here, if we are running 11.6 with EHF-5, and planning to upgrade our F5 units to 12.0 (EHF-x).   Does existing iRules work at 12.0 ? or conversion...

Hi

 

iRules are still fully supported and compatible from 11.6 to 12.0 (btw, iRulesLX is not yet an official feature). So, no license required.

 

You should check the "Change in behavior" section of the Release Notes and see if anything could impact you, depending on your configuration/environment. I haven't tested myself the UCS load but as long as it's on the same Viprion chassis shouldn't be an issue (with the MasterKey...)

 

you should maybe audit the resource usage (mem/cpu) prior to update. If any concerns (short of resource), I would advise you to check with your partner or F5 Account manager to evaluate the impact (resources usage) that could occur with installing 12.0 and the risks associated.
