What is total replacement product for TMG.? Is it a phy appliance or virtual appliance.?

Team - What is total replacement product from F5 for TMG.? Do we need to have both BIG-IP and F5 Secure Web Gateway. Also, is it a physical box or a virtual appliance that can be installed on any OS...

TMG product did several features:

 

  • Web Proxy ==> F5 replacement module is SWG
  • Reverse Proxy authentication ==> F5 replacement module is APM
  • Load Balancing ==> F5 replacement module is LTM
  • Web security (WAF) ==> F5 replacement module is ASM

All these features are available on physical and virtual appliances. The bundle BEST contains all these modules.
