What happens on failover when cluster not in sync?
Hi,
I am wondering how the device will act in case of:
a) active-passive configuration is enabled
b) configuration is not in sync
c) active device fails
Will the standby unit become active and process traffic to the "last known configuration"?
Kind regards,
Alex

Hi Alex, your understanding is correct. The standby box will become active and begin to process traffic with its current configuration. Sync status is totally independent of failover. - Ajmal_2608

Hi
Alexander,Yes, t
he config that is not in sync will not be available on the standby deviceOnce failover happens the standby will resume the active role with last synchronized configuration, (other that the unsynchronized config all will work fine)However in such situation to get the lost config on the Standby (now Active), you can do a config pullGUI -System›› High Availability : ConfigSync >>(Synchronize from peer)CLI
v10.x - b config sync pull
V11.x - run cm config-syncfrom-groupDEVICEGROUPNAMEThanksAjmal - Alexander_Georg
