What does this stat from virtual server mean

I see lots of failed connections on the stats of virtual server. What do those failed connections mean ? are they serverside failed connection or clientside ?

  • What kind of vs is it? What kind of pool /monitor?

I think it means serverside connections failing. It could indicate that your monitor isn't adequately detecting servers failing, so it tries to send traffic to servers which aren't responding.

You should always have a monitor that matches the application layer protocol you are using, so an HTTP-based monitor for http traffic, https for https etc etc.

  • Standard Virutal server with standard pool. Basic tcp monitor.
