Watchdog behavior on the Diameter Virtual server
Is BigIP expected not to send watchdog response message to client if Virtual Server using the diameter profile is disabled.

If there is no Diameter profile then the Diameter connection does not terminate on the BIG-IP. In that case the DWR would be proxied to the pool.

I tested this in 11.6.0-hf5 and 12.0.0-hf1 and the answer is no. BIG-IP continues to answer DWR with DWA for existing connections when the Diameter Virtual Server becomes disabled. New connections are not accepted.
To achieve the desired behavior, you could write an iRule to watch a pool or node status via LB::status and trigger a DIAMETER::drop inside a DIAMETER_INGRESS event. I confirmed that this event does fire for the inbound DWR.
