Hi All,
wondering what is the default compression Level for WA?
can we change the compression level like what we did in HTTP profile compression?
regards,

Hi Chang,
thanks for your info.
I need some advice, if i'm using LTM with WA module, will it be better to use LTM compression instead of WA compression?
reason why i have this idea :-
1. more tweaking option in LTM compression.
2. offload WA compression to LTM.
correct me if i'm wrong.
thanks in advance.

There are some benefits to doing compression in WA and some to doing it in LTM.
I would recommend continuing to perform compression in WA unless you have a specific reason not to. I would look forward to LTM compression being put under the hood of WA in the next release.

How can i see pre and post compress information like http profile summary?
regards
zafer - Pre and post compression levels are not currently available with WebAccelerator. As Joe stated above with the next release LTM compression will be integrated with WA and hopefully this information will be available then.

zafer - If you are a partner I recommend you speak with your local F5 channel team for information on tools that we use to demonstrate the benefits of WebAccelerator.
- justin_phelps_2Historic F5 AccountIt varies based on what hardware, software and license you use.
With a compression module license on an LTM there are several methods that BIP does compression/deflation. It is configurable and can be adaptive depending on your environment.

Oh sorry. I just realized this was WA specific. I think what pchang said is correct.
