VMWare Host Type

I kostly use the vLTM for developing iControl code against, but I have noticed that when loading the vLTM into VMWare, the host type is set to 'Other' (In VMWare Fusion anyway). As the kernel identifies itself as a redhat distribution, is there a reason that the OS type isn't set to redhat in VMWare?

It's possible that this is a VMWare Fusion 'feature'... But I don't have a VMWare Server edition or ESX handy to check it out (i'll try & get it onto a machine with VMWare Server if no-one answers and post my results when I find it).

TIA

You can set the OS type to Redhat if you like, though it should have no tangible difference, but it shouldn't hurt anything.
