Jul 18, 2013Actually no. A route domain is to network segmentation what partitions are to administrative segmentation. A partition would be used to give different users and groups segmented configurations and permissions (invisible and inaccessible to others).
You can bind VLANs to a route domain, so the above admin has likely given the VLAN the same number for identification purposes.
