Virtual F5 ECC vs RSA certificates

Hello,

after changing certificates from RSA 2048 to ECC 386 we are suffering bigger CPU impact on version 17.1.1.3. I was checking the internet and ECC keys should be less CPU intensive than RSA keys. So I dont understand it. 

Does anyone has the same experience?
