VIPRION HA Configuration

Hello DevCentral,

 

I was interested to know the HA configuration for 2 VIPRIONs. Though I have worked on VIPRIONs many times, I have not done the initial setup before.

 

Do you configure HA at the chassis level and again at the guest level, or do you just leave the 2 VIPRION chassis as standalone and ONLY configure HA at the guest level.

 

I tried HA at the chassis level and it did seem to work, they did go active / standby - but did not seem to change to "changes pending" if I made any changes as the Chassis level. Also I was wondering if the Chassis is in Standby, then is it possible to have an active guest on a standby chassis.

 

I just looking for some pointers, I know how to configure HA groups, but just not 100% sure what is best practise on the VIPRIONs

    chassis is configured as standalone. only guest is ha pair.
