Viprion Guest - disable guest network interface from within guest and from Viprion

Hi,

Is there anyway to make sure that a vCMP guests network interfaces remains forced down from the Viprion Chassis itself or from the vCMP guest itself?

I'm doing a cutover from an old physical LTM, where I'm going to import the config onto the vCMP guest and want to make sure the self IPs/floats/VIPs etc.. don't arp while I massage the config into a working state.

Is it enough to just disable the interfaces from the vCMP guests Mgmt GUI or is their potential while I'm massaging the config and issuing "tmsh load sys config partitions all" that the interfaces will be brought up unintentionally?

Advice appreciated.

  • Looks like perhaps best option would be to force offline both the active and standby HA pair

It even survives reboots and I'm hoping config reloads.
