Aug 07, 2007Version 5 and viewstate
In deploying a web site (using DNN for what thats worth) we find that somtimes the Firepass touches the viewstate and somtimes it dosent. If it does and a page tries to use a postback the viewstate is apparently not restored to its origional version on the way back because the IIS server throws an invalid viewstate error.
Questions:
Does anybody know how to tell the firepass not to mangle viewstate (DO NOT TOUCH is not avalable in V5)
Is their a way to tell the firepass to leave a file alone other than DO NOT TOUCH?
Is their some property of a web page that triggers modification of the viewstate?
BTW we are having a simular problem with URLs a refrence to another site is mangled and made unusable. Apparently even in V6 DO NOT TOUCH does not prevent this.
