VCMP upgrade

We planning to upgrade viprion box , so i need information how i proceed.

 

2 Viprion box each have one blade with 8 guest.

 

I have create plan if i missed anything please let me know

 

  1. First i need to make on one hypervisor all guest as standby
  2. And setting minimum number of blade as 2 , so it will not become active in any case.
  3. Upload software into host and upgrade
  4. While upgrade Host ,guest automatically goes offline
  5. once Host upgrade successful i will upgrade each guest .

 

Need to deprovision guest while doing upgrade ?. is it necessary ?.

 

Also if i missed any steps let me know.

    step 4 reactivate the license of the host before proceed for host upgrade

    deprovison is not necessary but make sure host which contain all guest are in standby mode

      Thanks , Then totally 18 times need to do upgrade.

    Yes, I would deprovision guest devices during host upgrade (it's not mandatory, but recommended).
