Feb 16, 2017vCMP Design 5250
Hi All,
Anyone have design guide doc for vCMP 5250, we have 2 BIG IP 5250, each box will run with vCMP, on each box we will create 2 vCMP Guests and will form an HA cluster betwee
Can I setup like below for vlan and port assignment?
First on each vCMP Host, I will create 3 trunks port
- TRUNK_INTERNAL (2.1 and 2.2) -> carry vlan 102 (for vCMP Guest ABC) and 104 (for vCMP Guest DEF) --> Internal facing Link
- TRUNK_EXTERNAL (2.3 and 2.4) -> carry vlan 101 (for vCMP Guest ABC) and 103 (for vCMP Guest DEF) --> External facing Link
- TRUNK_HB (1.3 and 1.4) -> back to back between 5250 -> carry vlan 10 (for vCMP Guest ABC) and 20 (for vCMP Guest DEF) - HA
Then the second one I create VLAN Each vCMP Guest will need 3 VLAN
vCMP Guest ABC
- VLAN_A (TRUNK_EXTERNAL tag 101)
- VLAN_B (TRUNK_INTERNAL tag 102)
- VLAN_HB_INTERNAL (TRUNK_HB tag 10)
- VLAN_C (TRUNK_EXTERNAL tag 103)
- VLAN_D (TRUNK_INTERNAL tag 104)
- VLAN_HB_INTERNAL (TRUNK_HB tag 20)
Does above port and vlan assignment is the correct design or standard best practise to make the vCMP work?
Thanks
