/var/log/ltm on Standby references Active

I just noticed a very weird and disconcerting behavior on a couple of my 10.2.4HF3 LTM pairs. At times, I see Pool Member status (up/down) messages referencing the name of the Active unit in /var/log/...

I think I just had a lightbulb moment. I have customized our UCS files to include /var/log/ltm, and I think it is getting overwritten on the Standby every time we do a ConfigSync.

 

 

Is there some technique I can use to retain /var/log/ltm and some other files during a UCS backup, but not install them during a ConfigSync?
