Using the VMware client or Website for F5 connections

I currently have a setup for our Vmware clients where a user can go to a website, authenticate, and is presented with a webtop which displays available vmware pools for the users to use. The user selects a pool and connect fine. Something we need to setup is if the users tries to connect directly with a client it can connect as well. So we basically want a user to use the website or connect directly with the client.

I was checking the VPE section of my access policy and there is an option for "client type". It shows "vmware-client or other. So i added the client type and set up a path for vmware clients to go to resource and the fallback goes to the logon page etc. The logon page works fine but the direct connection of the vmware client gets a network error. I added a pool to my 443 connection and i still get an error. Going to try adding it to my UDP virtual server which is using port 4172...

Does anyone have any ideas how i cna rectify this?
