use a profile to redirect http to https
There are a lot of ways to redirect HTTP traffic to HTTPS. Looking at some course notes it seems that redirection preferably is done using a policy instead of an iRule. What seems more preferred is using a profile. However there seems to be not much available on how to proceed with a profile. Can someone confirm that the preferred way is to use a profile and how to configure this ?
Is it really like this ? First choice a profile, then a policy and last an iRule ?
Before starting to replace all the iRules, I would like to be sure that this is not an useless effort.

http to https redirect was an option in http class profile which has been deprecated after version 11.4.0. so only option now is ltm policy and iRule.
Here is the link to find the pros and cons of policy vs iRule

Thank you, I will go for the policies.
