URL is not accessible for few times behind LB

URL is not accessible for few times in a day behind LB. User is running script which runs curl command to test URL availability every 2 min and raised issue with that logs saying its not accessible for few times.

IF the script is running to test , will it go to same member again and again ?(Cookie persistence configured) or the traffic will go to other pool member(Total 3 member) as well ?

We don't see any logs related to pool member goes down during the duration URL is not accessible or any other time.

We have tcp+backend port monitor configured to test the pool member, Do we need to configure any other monitor to get accurate results.

How do we confirm that its not LB issue ?

    Gajji,

I don't believe the curl script will use cookie persistence so the requests should be round robined across the pool members.

Anyway, my advice is to configure a HTTP monitor as the port may be up, but the service may be at fault. A HTTP monitor would highlight this and you may see monitor fail messages on the LTM too. This would then point to a backend server issue, or something else that you can use for root cause analysis.

    Hope this helps,
