Upgrading vCMP host

Hi All,

 

I am planning to upgrade a vCMP host from 11.2.1 HF3 to 11.2.1 HF4, do i need to stop my vCMP guests?What is the proper procedure for this?

    yes, provisioning guest will shutdown the guest before upgrading host.

    is the procedure same as ordinary upgrade?

     

    yes. and, as you know, please backup ucs from host and all the guests before upgrading. :)

    Also, if you're taking the time to have a maintenance window, it's best practice to always go to the latest HF for your version (AFAIK HF10 would be that one for 11.2.1).
