Upgrading issue to LTM 11.4.1
I have two f5 3900 series LTM and while trying to upgrade my standby f5 upgraded successfully but the active one keeps on throwing the error as below:
info: WARNING: There were one or more errors detected during installation. info: Check the error messages and take the proper actions if needed. info: ERROR: UCS installation failed. info: Operation aborted. info: >---- Terminal error: HTTP Class iRule events and commands are no longer available. See Solution SOL14381.
*** Live install end at 2014/04/10 17:50:30: failed (return code 9) ***
Though there are few recommendation exists, my question is why it fails on one f5 and succeeded on other?

HTTP classes no longer exist in 11.4, so if there is an iRule that references http classes, the upgrade will not proceed.
If the upgrade succeeded on the first 3900, it probably didn't have the iRule referencing http classes. Look and see if the first 3900 is really upgraded, and if it is, check the offending iRule to see what the upgrade process did with it.

thank you for your quick reply dickeypjeep but it is not the case, I have double triple checked the iRule and it is not the case, what else it could be? - PK_Bhatia

or if I am not looking in the right place, where to check the iRule in conf files, I have checked basically every single configuration file in /config folder. - Its probably easiest to grab a qkview and upload it to ihealth.f5.com. Thats F5's free tool for diagnosing problems, and it will let you know which iRule is causing the problem.

Upgrades when using HTTP Classes is a bit more involved. You probably want a test box (i.e. a VE) that you can load your old config WITHOUT The HTTP Class and migrate it to the new profiles...

Just to close the loop, the issue was related to saved configuration which was named like 04142014.conf. It is bit strange that installation process looks even the files which is not being used in the system. After removing old conf files from all the partitions fixed the issue. Thank you all for all the suggestions and time!
