Upgrade to 12.1.3 or 13.1.0?

Hi,

 

I'm running BIG-IP 4000 on v 12.0.0. I need to upgrade in order to mitigate ROBOT vulnerability (turning off RSA is out of the table unfortunately).

 

I'm working only on LTM and I'm wondering which version should I choose. My guts tell me "Go with the newest" but is there any advantage? Would 12.1.3 be more stable and more thoroughly tested?

 

Any thoughts?

 

12.0.0 to 12.1.3
12.0.0 to 13.1.0

    You can go either way. They are both Long Term Stability Releases. I would go with 12.1.3 in a production environment where there is no need for special features that come with 13.1.0. But when using only LTM and no vCMP, I'll expect 13.1.0 will work just as good as 12.1.3.
