Upgrade Big-IP from 11.5 to 12.1

Can we upgrade Big-IP from 11.5.3 to 12.1.2 ? Or should I first upgrade to 11.6.1 ? It seems that there is a vulnerability on the version earlier than 12.1.2

    We upgraded a couple of clusters from 11.5.3 to 12.0 and 12.1.1. I believe the only issue we had was 586878. We were able to fix that relatively quickly by rebooting into 11.5.3, modifying the affected profiles, then booting back into 12.x.

     

    We did not need to install 11.6.
