Nov 26, 2012yes, i countd install on the active partition.
I boot from the other.
ex: boot on 1:2 and install on 1:1
but i did all test,, if I boot on 1:2 and install on 1:1 ( that have de current configuration ), after install, and boot, 1:1 cames on 10.2.4 but without configuration
configuration in current running partition (hd1.2) will be copied to new partition (hd1.1). i think you should not switchboot to hd1.2. why won't you just stay in hd1.1 and install 10.2.4 on hd1.2? so, configuration in hd1.1 will be copied to hd1.2.
