UNIT ID

Hello All,     Could someone please explain me what is the "UNIT ID" option while creating "Floating IPaddress".       Thanks,     Reni

Thanks for the reply Aaron. This option is not optional while configuring through GUI interface.

 

 

I have a active-standby configuration and while configuring i have Unit-1, it is working fine. But i still dont understand what this option.

 

 

My guess was that " when we try to access the floating IPaddress it takes us to primary node which is Unit -1, so if we change to Unit-2 it will take to secondary unit :-) "
