Unable to Relay from a new Hub Transport server.

HI all,

I have added a new Hub Transport in my Exchange environment and also added into a SMTP Virtual Server in the F5 to balance the SMTP relay.

The problem I have is when a user tries to send out an external e-mail thorough the Virtual Server using the new server, it's getting "Unable to relay", no problem when connects to other both. no problems when the user sends out to local e-mail addresses.

The SMTP connector on the three servers are configured equal.

Does anyone know what could be the problem?

Any help will be appreciate.

Hi Brian, is there any more info in the error message, an error code for example?

If the clients use the new server but bypass the BIG-IP, does it work or does it fail too?

    thanks Mike

  • The error code is the known 550.5.7.1 Unable to Relay.

When I bypass the BIG-IP, adding my computer IP address in the "Receive mail form..." section, the e-mail goes out normaly.

    Thanks,

    Brian
