Unable to integrate BIG IP LTM with APIC
I downloaded the latest F5 Big IP LTM and its device package available on the official website (as per documentation) and tried integrating with APIC but the state is stuck in “init”. The recommended action for the raised fault is, “If you see this fault, please make sure that the device has the correct IP and is supported by the package”. I am sure about the IP and authentication credentials hence suspect the device package.
Steps followed in the configuration: 1)Deploy VM from downloaded ova -- Bring up Big IP LTM Virtual edition on vCenter 2)Activate Big IP LTM with a product key and verify its basic working functionalities – Create pools, vip, monitors et cetera 3)Import Big IP LTM device package in APIC – L4-L7 services packages Import a device package 4)Create an L4-L7 device in tenant Coke – Tenant Coke L4-L7 Devices Create L4-L7 Devices Provide the details and click submit 5)If the Device addition was successful (with device state ‘stable’), I would see a new partition created in Big IP specific to APIC but this is not happening due to the device creation failure.
Versions of devices used in the configuration: APIC – 1.2 (1i) BIG IP LTM VE -- 11.3.0.39.0 IDE Device package – F5-BIG-IP-1.2.0
