Traffic Draining

Hi Everyone i have one question is there traffic draining concept in f5 ? i.e assume i have 2 active servers connected to the f5 and i want one of the servers to be down for maintenance purpose so without affecting the connection (currently started requests will be finished but it doesn't accept any more requests).

  • Hello starboy,

    You can try that way:

    Go to

    Local Traffic ›› Pools : Pool List ›› "pool_with_server_to_be_stopped">>

tab "Members" >> choose member/server that will go to maintenance.

Next you can set the state you want.

    HTH

    Regards,

      Hi again,

      Just for clarification,

You can set the state to be:

      • Enabled (All traffic allowed)

      • Disabled (Only persistent or active connections allowed)

      • Forced Offline (Only active connections allowed)

After that press "Update" of course...
