Traffic behavior after 1st failed monitor attempt

Hi guys,   I have a monitor configured for 60sec interval and a timeout of 181 sec.   I am using SIP, so I think that's a bit too much. What would happen with new connections after first faile...

Until 181 seconds has elapsed the pool member will still be marked as UP, or rather if it's UP it won't mark it down. Once the BIG-IP has not received a monitor response for 181 seconds then the pool member is marked down and, in effect, the BIG-IP won't load balance and new connections to it.
