timeout value on LTM
Hi, Please advise if the server timeout value is 30 mins, will the session be dropped/ terminated by the LTM before 30 mins? is there anyway to verify on the timeout setting on LTM?

Hello,
it depends on your profiles settings, wich applied to the VS.

Hi, so the solution will be to change this value under Idle Timeout?

Create a new custom profile and do not alter default ones. Apply the custom profile to your Virtual Server. It's important to note that "Protocol Profile (Client)" and "Protocol Profile (Server)" settings must point to a profile which has the 30 minute Idle Timeout, otherwise you will not get the desired increase in Idle Timeout value. The default TCP profile has the Idle Timeout value of 5 minutes (300 seconds), after breached, F5 will send a TCP/RST packet to remote endpoint.
Another alternative to consider would be using a fastL4 protocol profile where "Reset on Timeout" setting is disabled and "Loose Initiate", "Loose Close" settings are enabled - this configuration would create a stateless routing policy which would consume the least memory.
