Can you elaborate on this a bit? How exactly do you want to test your asmx application? You can create a health monitor that does basic http checking I'm not sure how you are tying testing the application with monitoring it. Isn't that the same thing?
You can use iRules to manipulate the decision making on the real-time traffic and you can use iControl to control system configuration including the monitors that are associated with specific servers.
You could also use external logic to monitor your applications and then use iControl to change the traffic management properties to those servers.
If you could provide a bit more info on what information you need to gather so that you can monitor the servers, that would be helpful.
