It does when the company tells you their implementation doesn't allow for it.

Anyway. The monitor quoted above

/admin?op=ping HTTP/1.1\r\nHost: www.myhost.com:portnumber\r\nConnection: close\r\n

 

appears to be missing the blank line that tells the listener that the HTTP/1.1 request has finished... Does

 

/admin?op=ping HTTP/1.1\r\nHost: www.myhost.com:portnumber\r\nConnection: close\r\n\r\n

 

make a difference...
