Syntax Error: unexpected argument "/usr/bin/lesspipe.sh + TACACS Admin role v11.x Fix ?
Hey All,
This is kinda irritating, whenever I use the less command I keep getting the error.
Syntax Error: unexpected argument "/usr/bin/lesspipe.sh"
Here's Article I found on the same that the admin users configured with tmsh shell cannot use less from the bash shell.
611658-1 : "less" utility logs an error for remotely authenticated users using the tmsh shell
Component: TMOS
Symptoms:
when using 'less' Syntax Error: unexpected argument "/usr/bin/lesspipe.sh"
Conditions:
admin user configured with tmsh shell
Impact:
admin user cannot use the less command from shell
Workaround:
configure admin user to use the bash shell
Well the problem is, Tacacs role doesn't support bash shell at all, for the admin user to get into the bash shell he has to run,
run util bash
to get into the bash shell.
Article for this - K10272: Accessing the bash shell as a remotely authenticated user.
Wonder what the fix here could be in v11.x versions. This is conflicting. The fix is available from V12.x alone. Dont see any work around at all.
