Syncing local files

Hi all, we use a set of files in /home/admin for maintaining some datagroups and I wondered if there is a built in way to sync or maintain these incase of failover?

I'm quite happy to cron up a script to copy the newest files between hosts, but wondered if there was anything already available on the device?

Thanks

  • i can't think of anything that would do this built in. with version 10 the sync was restoring an UCS backup so perhaps something was possible back then. with version 11+ it is just the config section, so there isn't really a way.

custom rsync seems the way to go, but be careful and remember you loose crontab entries with upgrades.
