  • Do you mean the below steps on standby unit :

bigstart stop mcpd rm /var/db/mcpdb.* bigstart start mcpd tmsh load sys config

But this will remove all configs or what ?!?

That won't remove the saved configs. Will remove the the running configs on mcpd. Same but I would try on standby touch /service/mcpd/forceload reboot Here is article from F5. https://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/solutions/public/13000/000/sol13030.html
  • you may also try this: 1. (STANDBY) @HTTP Profile: remove your assigned http profile (ex. http). choose NONE to be safe. then click update. 2. (STANDBY) @HTTP Profile: change from NONE to original http profile (ex. http). then click update. 3. (STANDBY) then delete the VS. 4. (ACTIVE) then sync.

@Chiebart has given good work around to mitigate issue but i will not recommend this. Ask F5 and get 11.6HF6 hotfix.

Thanks, Samir. done escalating this to the support for the hotfix.
  • Hi Mawad,

Try to remove the http profile from the server you are using then update. After that try to return the http profile and update then delete the VS.

    Hope this will help.

    Thanks.

  • @Chiebart - great workaround - once i deleted out the VIPs on the standby device we automatically got HA sync again. (yes we're doing auto-sync [livin' on the edge, huh?]). We'll have to schedule that upgrade to HF6 too...
