Strange problem Root password field not showing in the GUI

Hi Everyone,

 

I am really facing a very strange problem. I have on my LTM box TMOS 10.x.x and also 11.1 in the GUI of 10.x.x under platform I can see both the fields Admin as well as root password which is normal. But in TMOS 11.1 I don't see any the root password field it only shows the Admin password field. Does anyone come across this problem or is it some know issue or bug. I will be really thankful for the support.

    Hi Nitass,

     

    Thanks for your reply I just checked my license and yes the unit is running in Appliance mode only with only TMSH access. Now if I want to have root level access is this only possible after requesting a change in license or else there is some other way.

    Now if I want to have root level access is this only possible after requesting a change in license or else there is some other way. i understand you have to do clean install and obtain a new license (without appliance mode).
