Steps to change IP addresses on HA pair
I have a pair of ltm3900 that I need to change the internal interface IP address, which I am also using for Mirroring Addresses. I want to make sure both do not go active. Should I add new IP addresses and change the mirror addresses before removing the old IPs? I am new to ltm's so I am not sure of the process.

what version are you running?
are you using mirror address as failover address?

I am running version 10.2.4. I am using the mirror address for config synch but not failover. Would it be best to take the secondary offline, make the changes, then bring secondary back online?

From guide: "A BIG-IP unit enters an Offline state when you actively force the unit offline. The Offline state indicates to both units that the offline unit is unavailable for accepting network traffic. This feature is useful when you need to take an active unit out of service in order to perform standard system maintenance tasks on that unit." There is known issue SOL 12370
You should make it as follows:
1. add new internal ip address
2. change mirror and config sync addresses to the new ip address
3. remove all routes associated with the old ip address
4. remove old ip addresses
