Space disk in F5-BIG-LTM-VE
- Feb 24, 2025
While the GUI may show that you have available disk space overall (e.g. screenshot below), you really need to check it at a directory level via the CLI.
In CLI I have no access error 'connection refused".
Due to you not being able to SSH to the device, I would hazard a guess that your "/" (root) folder is full. From experience this usually happens when an administrator transfers a BIG-IP software ISO image to this "/" folder (which has a small amount of space allocated to it) instead of /shared/images. You need to log on via virtual console as boneyard said and check file system disk space and see if there are any folders that are 100% full.
Example (using df -h) command to check disk space[root@BIGIP-1:Active:In Sync] config # df -h Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/mapper/vg--db--vda-set.2.root 419M 76M 317M 20% / devtmpfs 5.9G 4.0K 5.9G 1% /dev tmpfs 5.9G 440M 5.5G 8% /dev/shm tmpfs 5.9G 2.3M 5.9G 1% /run tmpfs 5.9G 0 5.9G 0% /sys/fs/cgroup /dev/mapper/vg--db--vda-set.2._usr 5.9G 5.2G 421M 93% /usr /dev/mapper/vg--db--vda-dat.appdata 25G 1.7G 22G 8% /appdata /dev/mapper/vg--db--vda-dat.share 15G 3.3G 11G 24% /shared none 5.9G 32M 5.9G 1% /shared/rrd.1.2 /dev/mapper/vg--db--vda-set.2._config 2.1G 521M 1.5G 27% /config /dev/mapper/vg--db--vda-set.2._var 4.4G 1.1G 3.0G 27% /var prompt 4.0M 28K 4.0M 1% /var/prompt none 5.9G 33M 5.9G 1% /var/tmstat /dev/mapper/vg--db--vda-dat.log 2.9G 341M 2.4G 13% /var/log none 5.9G 4.0K 5.9G 1% /run/pamcache none 5.9G 0 5.9G 0% /var/loipc /dev/loop0 445M 445M 0 100% /var/apm/mount/apmclients-7250.2024.1010.1953-6802.0.iso none 5.9G 0 5.9G 0% /mnt/sshplugin_tempfs
