Jul 17, 2008source address affinity
i've been using source address affinity for years believing that it would send clients back to the same pool member if their session was kept active within the specified time limit
however, i've just read this regarding the "Match Across Services" option which is disabled by default...
"Specifies that all persistent connections from a client IP address that go to the same virtual IP address also go to the same node."
am i missing something obvious here? if the option is disabled, how does source address affinity work?
thanks

The critical word there is 'virtual ip address' not virtual server. Match across services allows LTM to ignore the port in a persistence record. - Skuba_85554
