source address affinity

i've been using source address affinity for years believing that it would send clients back to the same pool member if their session was kept active within the specified time limit    ...

The critical word there is 'virtual ip address' not virtual server. Match across services allows LTM to ignore the port in a persistence record.

 

 

You don't have anything to worry about if you've been using source address persistence with a single VIP and pool.
