SOFTWARE UPDATE CHECK ON LTM -BIG-IP 20000
I have been trying to automatically check for software update availability on my LTM Big-IP, but each time i tried i always recieve this error message:-
An error has occurred while trying to process your request. -- Use of uninitialized value $ret_hostname in scalar chomp at /usr/local/share/perl5/F5/ServerLookup.pm line 41. No response from update server
Please what do i need to do to resolve this? I also want to know if this will allow me to update the said software directly.

It seems that you didn't configured the DNS setting on your BIG IP
You can't update directly the software like that, It will only gives you a list of most recent release/hotfix, EUD, EPSEC and geo location version information..
