Set up HA Pair on new vmware
Can any one help? I am trying to set up HA on my two vmware F5's. Soon as I go to link the devices, device B shows disconnected and i'm unable to sync these devices. This seems like a connection issue between the F5's as they are online when not added to the HA pair.
1) Created self ip address for HA IP. 2) Created Vlan for HA Vlan 3) Created Device Trust and linked the Two F5's as peers 4) Add HA IP as config sync IP 5) Add HA ip, Management ip and mulicast enabled in Failover 6) created device group and linked devices with Active primary and secondary standby.
Is there a step missing to get these two devices to communicate? Currently if one device is up the other id disconnected. If one device goes down then the other will be Active and the other disconnected.
Thanks in Advance.

I'd start with basic connectivity, can they ping each other across HA interfaces, also is the self-ip port lockdown set to allow the HA traffic, cheers

I am able to ping from CLi to both devices. Self-ip port lockdown is set to allow-all.
Still same problem exists.
Thanks!

then I'd try this
- remove devices from device group
- delete peers from trust
- reset device trust
- reboot both systems
- setup trust and add to device group and sync,

Thanks for the reply. I tried that already and still same results. Sure it's an issue with the connection between the F5's. In real life this would be a cable issue. Not sure where to look when it comes to vmware.
