self IP configuration on VCMP box

Hi Guys,

 

I am using a VCMP box. Do I need to define selfip on VCMP box or virtual instances? And what is the method of configuring floating IP for VCMP and virtual instances?

    Nilesh,

     

    You create your VLAN definitions on the VCMP Host, and then assign VLANs to VCMP Guests.

     

    Within the VCMP Guests, you assign non-floating and floating self-IPs to the VLANs.

     

    Remember, the VCMP Host does not get configured as part of an HA pair - it is a STANDALONE system.

     

    You build HA-pairs between VCMP Guests on different VCMP Hosts.
