Nov 20, 2014Seeking clarification about support of GTM and route domains
From Manual Chapter: Configuring GTM on a Network with One Route Domain :
"F5 Networks does not support the configuration of route domains on a standalone BIG-IP GTM."
Can anybody explain the reason this is so? Does this apply to the situation of multiple route domains but no overlapping IP addresses on the LTM for GTM to get monitoring results? Will an active/standby GTM setup work differently at all?

I have since seen Manual Chapter: Configuring GTM on a Network with Multiple Route Domains ( https://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/products/big-ip_gtm/manuals/product/gtm-implementations-11-1-0/8.html ). It seems that the name of the server one specifies in GTM plays the differentiating role in telling apart virtual servers with the same IP addr but in different route domains.
